Dennis Valerstain, MD

Dr. Dennis Valerstain is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and is currently serving as Chief Fellow at University of Miami’s Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. He sees patients in-person at our Miami and Aventura offices and throughout Florida via telehealth. Dr. Valerstain completed his general Psychiatry residency at University of Miami in Miami, FL and completed medical school at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. Prior to medical school, Dr. Valerstain completed premedical training at Emory University in Atlanta, GA where he also obtained a BS in Chemistry and a minor in Italian Studies. He was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and grew up in Miami, FL. He speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish, and some Hebrew. He specializes in treating adolescent and adult patients with conditions including ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, and Schizophrenia
