There are various types of psychotherapy out there that may or may not work for you. I'll do my best to help you by utilizing an eclectic, pragmatic approach . As for medications, I'll only prescribe a medication if there is enough evidence to prove the medication is potentially beneficial for your condition and its benefits outweigh its risks. I would only consider prescribing medications that just came out in the market , novel treatments as a last resort . Since my practice is limited to direct-to-consumer telepsychiatry, I do not prescribe controlled substances like stimulants for ADHD and benzodiazepines for sleep and anxiety. I firmly believe these types of medications should only be prescribed in a traditional in-person setting.
