Initial evaluation (90 minutes) $400. Follow up appointment: 20 minutes- $155-170, 50 minutes- $190-250. Dr. Mitchell does not accept any insurance plans, including Medicaid/Medicare, however a billing statement is provided if you wish to file for any out

Whitney H. Mitchell, MD is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist in private practice in New Braunfels, Texas since 2009. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Mitchell received a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from Texas A&M University. She attended medical school at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she graduated in the top ten percentile of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed a residency in Psychiatry in San Antonio at University Hospital, Audie Murphy VA Hospital, and Wilford Hall Medical Center in both outpatient and acute inpatient settings.
Dr. Mitchell has been in private practice in New Braunfels since 2009. She specializes in evidence-based treatment of anxiety, mood disorders, and personality and relational problems.
Dr. Mitchell is LGBTQ+-friendly and fluent in Spanish. and fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Mitchell uses an evidence-based approach when recommending treatment options, and she will discuss decisions every step of the way so that you may make well-informed decisions regarding your care.
